Container volume at eight major Chinese ports declined 6.3% year on year in mid-October

The export container volume dropped 3.3% while the domestic volume declined 14.2% in mid-October. Some of the ports shut operation temporarily due to bad weather, while cargo throughput at major coastal hub ports dropped 4.9% year on year & international trade cargo throughput also declined 3.1%.
